Accessories
Calibration Device
By using the calibration device for a spread rate check (special option) a very convenient and accurate determination of the setting for the required spread rate is possible. The amount of fertiliser collected over a set distance is weighed and then using the clear ladder scale the shutter position for the desired spread rate can be accurately determined.
Broad Spreader Deflector
The border spread deflector (special option) for the exact border spreading directly at the field side. For this application one outlet opening is left closed whereas for normal fertilising the border spread deflector is simply swivelled manually upwards out of the way. Also this useful AMAZONE option consists of stainless steel.
Limiter X
The Limiter is used when the first tramline is placed at half the working width of the fertiliser spreader from the field boundary. It can be used for border spreading, water course spreading and side spreading.
The decisive point is:
There is no stopping and leaving the tractor cab. The strong tubular frame carries the “lamella block” made entirely from stainless steel. The “lamella block” can be shifted forwards and backwards and in this way the “Limiter X” can be set to the desired function (working width, border or side spreading, type of fertiliser). When not in use the lamella block is comfortably raised via a hydraulic ram. The device does not require any additional control valves on the tractor.
The “lamella block” changes the direction of part of the fertiliser flow. This way an optimum spread pattern on the border is achieved. An automatic spread rate reduction when border spreading is also possible.
L800 Extension
Via the L 800 extension the capacity of the ZA-X Perfect 902 is readily increased by 800 litres. With this wide extension the filling procedure via front end loaders or telescopic loading shovels is mace more convenient.
Swivel Hopper Cover
When filling the swivel hopper cover (special option) is simply folded open and ensures dry spreading material in wet weather.
A traffic light kit with warning plates (special option) can be specified on request.
Parking Wheels
The proven parking wheels (special option) ease the process of attaching the spreader to the tractor and detaching and manoeuvring in the yard. The wheels are quickly removed.

He who weighs wins!
No calibration required. Enter the spread rate and drive off! It couldn’t be simpler. The weighing frame of the ZA-M Profis with a payload of up to 2100 kg gives you even more precision and capacity.
The weighing system offers controlled comfort and even more reliability. It determines the different properties of the spreading material on-line using a weigh cell – and extremely accurately. It automatically compares the actual quantity that has been spread with the specified quantity. Differences in flow behaviour, e.g. with heterogeneous mineral fertilisers, are detected and the spreader automatically readjusts itself via the electric dosing shutter. The quantity applied is also precisely documented for the purpose of field-related nutritional balance.
The sturdy weighing frame is integrated in such a way that neither the centre of gravity distance nor the filling height are increased.
For a balanced nutrient supply, the spread rate calibration value can be changed via the AMATRON 3 on-board computer at the push of a button. The quantity can also be adjusted automatically according to the quantity of pure nitrogen already absorbed using additional on-line N-sensor technology.
Safety-Set as standard with all ZA-M
The AMAZONE ZA-M with the new Safety-Set provides additional safety. Working equipment that is hitched to fast-moving tractors must be clearly recognisable in road traffic. AMAZONE has integrated the strict safety requirements into a modern design.
The optional mud flaps ensure that no dirt can be thrown onto the spreading discs from the tractor wheels. Large warning signs at the rear and the lighting system make the tractor and spreader combination more noticeable. The surrounding safety guard complies with the accident prevention regulations.
SBS – Soft Ballistic System
Gentle Guidance:
The AMAZONE Soft Ballistic System is incorporated into the agitators which are shaped in such a way that the fertiliser is taken from across the whole width of the hopper alleviating problems of the formation of a fertiliser funnel in the centre of the hopper and maintaining homogeneity.
Gentle delivery:
The delivery of the fertiliser directly onto the centre of the spreading disc is especially advantageous because of the low peripheral speed of the spreading disc in this sector.
Gentle acceleration
The AMAZONE Soft Ballistic System gently accelerates the fertiliser via the spreading discs rotating at 720 r.p.m. making sure that even very fragile fertilisers keep their spreading properties.
Gentle ejection
With the aid of the AMAZONE Soft Ballistic System the fertiliser is provided with the energy required for the optimum trajectory and a precise spread pattern.
Stainless steel spreading system
The entire spreading system of the ZA-M spreaders is made from stainless steel:
• the hopper tips and agitator spirals
• the entire base plates with setting rate slides and hydraulic shutters
• the spreading discs with the spreading vanes
• the fully enclosed deflector plates
The benefits:
• Easy to maintain due to open design of spreader
• Perfect functionality due to the maintenance-free oil bath gearboxes, stainless steel chain drive for agitator shaft, hydraulic cylinders and robust frame
Oil-immersed gearbox
The oil-immersed gearbox is the indestructible heart of this AMAZONE twin disc spreader. The AMAZONE gearboxes have been proven by the hundreds of thousands, are maintenance-free and feature an integrated overload protection against gearbox damage.
Simple, tool-less spread rate adjustment.
The spread rate and the working width are preselected from the extremely comprehensive setting chart. Clear, large dimensioned scales help you to set the spread rate exactly using the shutter slides.
The AMAZONE double shutter control system provides maximum safety
The double shutter control system with rate (1) and on/off shutters (2) can be operated independently of each other. The double acting hydraulic slides ensure an instantaneous opening and closing of the shutters at the ends of the field. So, the fertiliser is available at the full amount right from the start. For forward speed related spread rate control via AMADOS+ or AMATRON 3 only the metering shutter slides are actuated by the electric setting motors, for example for the slight correction of fertiliser rates.
OM OmniaSet spreading disc for the ultimate precision
The OM Omnia-Set spreading discs are equipped with pivoting spreading vanes that generate a spread pattern that is extremely precise and safe. With the aid of an easily readable scale that is in the user’s field of view, the spreading vanes can be adjusted easily and exactly, without tools. AMAZONE provides comprehensive setting charts for all kinds of fertiliser, seed and slug pellets. The OM Omnia-Set spreading discs are made from stainless steel and are easy to fit.
Late top dressing is advantageous for generating quality crops. With the AMAZONE spreading discs this procedure is extremely easy to do without tools by just tilting up the standard equipped swivel tips on the spreading vanes.
Optimum lateral distribution (example: working width 24 m, picture below). The flat side edges of the Omnia-Set spread pattern make it insensitive to side wind and the different spreading properties of the kinds of fertiliser. This triangular spread pattern with its long, low flat spread and therefore large overlapping zones is decisive for providing additional safety and optimum precision.
High quality multi-layer laquer finish
1 – Steel plate
2 – Zinc phosphate treatment (crystalline layer)
3 – KTL primer coat
4 – Finishing top coat
Hose cabinet
The hose cabinet protects all tractor connections from soiling.
Spread rate checking
The checking the spread rate is extremely easy using the calibration kit for determining the material characteristics (flow behaviour etc.). If you do not wish to perform a calibration test, simply choose our ZA-M 1001 Special Profis weigh cell spreader.
Accessories
Border spreading with Tele-Set disc
Economical, and in particular, extremely ecologically sensitive mineral fertilising requires responsible minded actions. According to new environmental directives, environmentally harmless fertilisation on the field edge is not possible without modern border spreading systems. All of the requirements of the current fertiliser ordinance can be perfectly met with AMAZONE boundary spreading equipment.
Tele-Set-disc: Change over from normal spreading to side, boundary or water course spreading by means of a tool-less disc change.
Side spreading (yield oriented setting)
The neighbouring field us an area that is used agriculturally. In this case it is tolerable for a small quantity of fertiliser to be thrown over the border of the field. The fertiliser Distribution inside the field boundary is still 80 % of the desired application rate at the edge of the field.
Boundary spreading (environmentally friendly adjustment
In case of a road or a cycle path right against the side of the field no fertiliser may be spread beyond the field’s border. In order to avoid the over fertilisation inside the field, the spread rate has to be reduced on the field’s border. This boundary spreading system fulfil the fertiliser decree requirements.)
Water-course spreading (environmentally oriented setting)
If there is surface water at the edge of the field, a distance of one metre must be maintained using the border spreading device according to the fertiliser ordinance, and even three metres without a border spreading device. In order to prevent over Fertilisation inside the field, the spread rate must be reduced at the boundary side.
Border spreading with the border spread deflector
If the first tramline is situated at the field’s edge, border spreading (environmentally-orientated adjustment) is then achieved by the half-side shut-off of the spread fan. No fertiliser is thrown beyond the field’s border and, inside the field, optimum fertilisation is maintained.
Boundary spread deflector, left hand side
The one-sided, manually folded spread deflector is a low-cost solution for carrying out boundary spreading on the left side in the direction of travel.
ZA-M border spread deflector for both sides
The border spread deflector to both sides can be operated at the left and right hand side but also at both sides, to keep the track virtually free from fertiliser. Adjustable for different fertilisers and also suited for special crops. Many applications possible. The mounting and demounting is quickly and easily done without tools.
AMAZONE Limiter right or left hand
With the ZA-M there is a choice: Limiter to the right or left hand side. Modern tractors have most of the controls on the right next to the driver’s seat. In this case, border spreading is more convenient and comfortable using the right hand Limiter. The all-stainless steel Limiter is simply folded down into the spread fan. The lamella block then produces a direction change for part of the flow of fertiliser. An optimum spreading pattern is formed up to the border.
Perfect boundary and side spreading
The Limiter is a modern boundary spreading system that is used if the first tramline is half the working
width of the fertiliser spreader. It is used for side, boundary and water course spreading.
The decisive advantage with the Limiter is that there is no need to stop, interrupt the spreading operation
or dismount from the tractor.
With AMADOS+ and AMATRON 3, the quantity is automatically reduced on that side during boundary
and water course spreading when the Limiter is swivelled down.
The Limiter can be moved on a fixed frame within a generously dimensioned swivel range. This sets the
Limiter to the required position for side, boundary or water course spreading, depending on the type of
fertiliser. Exact details of this can be found in the setting chart and on a sticker on the machine. If the
Limiter is not being used, it is conveniently swivelled up via a hydraulic cylinder.
The extensions: The hopper volume can be quickly upgraded or retrofitted
Extension S – narrow
The narrow S-extension gives you a small transport width. Direct filling from a tipping trailer or out of big bags is no problem.
Extension L – wide
The large filling width of 2.76 m provides you with adequate safety when loading with wide buckets.
The wide L-extension is particularly recommended when large industrial front loading shovels are being used.
Electric 3-way unit
The HyCLICK electric 3-way unit can be used as a convenient preselection isolator for the Limiter and right or left hand double shutter functions for tractors with only one control valve.
2-way and 3-way control units
Simple 2-way and 3-way control units are also available for tractors without enough hydraulic facilities.
Castor wheels and ‘Tele Space’
A sensible accessory: the robust castor wheels make it easier to attach and detach the spreader and manoeuvre in the farmyard. The wheels can be quickly removed. It is even easier to attach and detach the spreader using the “Tele-Space” telescopic PTO shaft.
Swivel hopper cover
The hopper cover is simply swivelled open before filling. When closed it allows fertiliser spreading to continue, even during bad weather.
Front lights / integrated ladder
According to the StVZO, front lights are required for the wide L-extension if there is an excess width. The ladder integrated on the left-hand side provides a better view into the hopper and therefore makes inspection and cleaning easier.
Mobile test rig
For even more peace of mind with difficult kinds of fertiliser
• Perfect control in the field
• Simple to use and safe
• Checks the lateral distribution
• top agrar Test 06/2011 quoted: “a very user-friendly system”

The deep-pressed base hopper
The base hopper has a volume of 700 l. It is deep-pressed without corners, edges and weld seams ensuring the continuous and the even flow of the fertiliser. Also the cleaning of the spreader is made easy thanks to this design.
The extensions: In two widths and many sizes
For subsequent increases to the hopper capacity of the ZA-V, AMAZONE offers, for the S and L base hopper extensions, a further suitable bolt-on extension. The volume of these bolt-on extensions is 600 l for the S hopper width and 800 l for the L hopper width. Of course, these extensions can also be equipped with the roll-over hopper cover. So, the spreader can simply grow together with the farm or the size of the husbandry tractor available.
SafetySet as standard
The AMAZONE ZA-V is equipped as standard with SafetySet to provide more peace of mind. Implements which are mounted on the back of fast moving tractors require clear visibility on the road. AMAZONE has incorporated these strict safety requirements into its modern design. The surrounding guard tube fulfils the accident prevention regulations.
Large-dimensioned marker boards to the rear and the road lighting kit ensure better visibility in road traffic.
Ladder for safe access
For comfortably accessing the hopper from outside and matching the ladders on the wider L extensions, a ladder is also available for the narrow extensions which can be fitted on the left and/or the right hand side.
Licence plate carrier
The licence plate carrier with lighting offers the possibility to attach a repetition plate.
Calibration device
For the convenient spread rate check without dismounting the spreading disc, a lateral calibration device is available at the left or right hand side of the machine. In conjunction with the ZA-V Control and ZA-V Tronic spreader units also an automatic time measurement is possible.
Spreading system with Soft Ballistic System
Due to its large aperture, the ultra-modern spreading system on the ZA-V can achieve application rates of up to 390 kg/min. The hopper tip, which tapers down to the shutter slide, prevents residues being left making it easy to clean.
The quantity-effect free aperture is positioned freely above the spreading disc. The position is very close to the centre of the spreading disc offering the advantage that the fertiliser is taken up extremely gently by the spreading discs at the lowest circumferential speed. The fertiliser is then accelerated very gently. The spread pattern is maintained at all application rates and at all forward speeds and is completely independent to the spread rate.
On ZA-V spreaders, the entire spreading system is made from stainless steel and high-quality glass-fibre reinforced plastic and thus provides a long service life and a high resale value.
SBS – Soft Ballistic System
Mineral fertilisers require an especially-gentle treatment to ensure precise distribution and transport to the crop over the total working width. Fertiliser which has been already damaged in the spreader can no longer be reliably distributed. On the ZA-V, the agitator, shutter slides and spreading discs are optimally matched, protecting the fertiliser and ensuring yields are maintained.
Double overlap at up to 36 m working width
The spreading unit of the ZA-V has been developed utilising three dimensional spread patterns, ensuring the perfect lateral distribution and allowing, thanks to SBS, the generation of working widths of up to 36 m. The large overlap zones provide the perfect spread pattern.
Spreading discs with QuickSet
Only 3 pairs of spreading discs cover the entire operational range from 10 m to 36 m. The working width is simply, quickly and safely adjusted via the spreading vane position. Setting of the spreading vanes is carried out without any tools via the QuickSet setting system.
The standard spreading disc speed is at a fertiliser-protecting 720 rpm.
With their special shape, and several feed-on points at both the upper and lower end of the spreading vane, the newly developed spreading vanes of the ZA-V provide an especially good lateral distribution. The different spreading vanes can be quickly and simply exchanged with the aid of an interchangeable system. The perfect solution, e. g. for the agricultural contractor.
The intelligent agitator
The new mechanical star agitator of the ZA-V is positioned directly above the deep aperture and in this way provides a reliable and consistent fertiliser flow at all application rates. Turning at just 45 rpm, it makes for a fertiliser-protecting operation. When the shutter slides on each side are closed, the agitator speed is reduced to avoid unnecessary damage of the fertiliser in this situation.
ZA-V with hydraulic shutter actuation
As an innovation for the ZA-V fertiliser spreader product range, AMAZONE now offers the ZA-V with hydraulic shutter actuation. This level of specification allows the direct operation of the shutter slides via two double-acting hydraulic spool valves on the tractor.
As with all ZA-V product models, this version is also equipped with the precision spreading system for working widths from 10 to 36 m and which includes the SBS Soft Ballistic System. It is available in hopper capacities from 1,400 to 4,200 l.
Via individual setting levers for each side of the spreader, the complete shutter slide assembly underneath of the aperture can be adjusted. The position of the shutter slide assembly is fixed via an additional clamping lever. The peculiarity of this model, with its hydraulic shutter slide adjustment, is that the hydraulic cylinder for the shutter slide actuation always opens or closes completely. The position of the setting lever only serves as a fixing for the shutter slide assembly, not as a stop to the shutter slide, and thus is not pressurised. In this way, any unintentional opening or adjustment of the application rate is avoided.
ZA-V Profis Hydro
To supplement the ZA-V programme at the top end, AMAZONE now introduces for the ZA-V, hydraulic spreading disc drive which enables individual control of the side, border and water course spreading operations to either side of the machine. For spreading at the field’s edge, the switching over between these individual functions is possible on the move. If the pre-set disc speed is not ideally suited for an exact spreading right to the edge, it can then be adjusted via the terminal whilst driving. These changes are then automatically stored in the terminal for the relevant border situation.
In addition to a fertiliser-saving, simply interchangeable and adjustable spreading at the field’s border, the ZA-V Hydro also provides the benefit that this spreader operates completely independently from the tractor engine speed thus saving fuel.
On the ZA-V Hydro, the “Profis” weighing system and “Tronic” ISOBUS communication come as standard. For spreading in short work and in wedges, the ZA-V Hydro in total can actuate 16 part-width sections in automatic mode via the AMAZONE GPS-Switch Section Control software or 8 partwidth sections in manual mode.
On-line sensors
Actually on-line sensors are the ideal tool for supplying the appropriate amount of Nitrogen. During fertiliser application, they measure the supply available at the plant. Within the restraints of the pre-determined values, the required amount of fertiliser for an optimum plant growth is then calculated.
Via the serial interface (RS 232) all ZA-V spreaders with AMATRON 3, CCI 100 and other compatible ISOBUS terminals offer an optimum access to all on-line sensors available in the market (e.g. YARA N-Sensor, FRITZMEIER ISARIA, CLAAS CropSensor, CropCircle, OptRx, GreenSeeker). Via the AMAZONE operator terminal, the calculated amount of fertiliser is directly entered in to control the machine. For documentation purposes, the actual applied amount of fertiliser applied is recorded.
Accessories
AmaPilot multi function joystick
All the functions of the work menu can also be operated via the AmaPilot multi function joystick or other ISOBUS joysticks (AUX-N). The keys can be simply and freely programmed with the most important functions.
SwitchPoint
When utilising GPS Switch, SwitchPoint means the adjustment of the switch on and switch off points depending on fertiliser type and working width. Both values can be taken from the spreading chart and entered
into the relevant operator terminal.
Limiter V border spreading system
For side, border and water course spreading, the hydraulically-actuated Limiter V boder spreading system is available. Prior to spreading, and depending on the desired border situation, the depth to which the Limiter V can drop to is set via a pin. Around the field’s edge, the Limiter V can then be hydraulically lowered to that pre-selected position and raised again in the field.
Limiter V+ border spreading system
Via the sensitive electric adaptation of the angle of the Limiter V+ in relation to field’s border, a comfortable changeover between side, border and water course spreading is possible from the tractor cab. Due to the design of the Limiter V+ being open at the bottom, this can be swivelled down in steps from above into the spread fan diverting what is going towards the field’s border.
1. With just a slight lowering of the Limiter V+ only the fertiliser flow of the long vane is deflected.
2. If the Limiter V+ is lowered further, the fertiliser flow from both spreading vanes is deflected.
3. In the completely lowered position, the lamellae provide an accurate spread pattern towards the field’s border.
Side, border and water course spreading
For spreading next to adjacent fields, roads or water courses, the ZA-V can be equipped with the Limiter V+. The border spreading system can be lowered in small steps into the fertiliser flow. The swivelable adjustment around the centre of the spreading disc sets the Limiter V+ to the different working widths and fertiliser types. In this way an accurate spread pattern at the border is ensured.
Boundary spreading (environmentally friendly adjustment)
In case of a road or a cycle path right against the side of the field no fertiliser may be spread beyond the field’s border. In order to avoid the over fertilisation inside the field, the spread rate has to be reduced on the field’s border. This boundary spreading system fulfil the fertiliser decree requirements.
Bed spreading with bed spreading deflector to both sides
For spreading specialist crops in beds to either side of the tractor AMAZONE offers the bed spreading deflector. It keeps the track virtually free from fertiliser.
ZA-V Profis with weigh cell frame: He who weighs wins!
No calibration required; just enter in the spread rate and drive off! There is no simpler way.
The weighing system, for the Super and Ultra frames, offers controlled comfort as well as more peace of mind. With its 200 Hz weighing technology, it works on-line to determine the different characteristics of the spreading material – and all this with the highest degree of measuring accuracy. It automatically compares the actual applied rate with the pre-determined rate. Deviations in flow behaviour, such as, for example with heterogeneous mineral fertilisers, are detected and the spreader automatically re-adjusts via the electric metering slides. The quantity applied is also precisely documented for the purpose of site-specific nutritional application. For a balanced nutrient supply, the spread rate can be changed at the touch of a button via the terminal.
1 – Weigh cell frame
2 – Horizontally aligned tie bar
3 – Weigh cells
Tilt sensor for steeper sloping terrain
On the ZA-V Profis, any possible influences due to a change in the centre of gravity are taken into account by the on-the-move measuring procedure with the aid of the tilt sensor. The two-dimensional tilt sensor, which detects angles to the front and back or side to side, corrects any errors in the measuring procedure which might occur when driving up and down hills or when driving across a slope. In this way, in combination with the intelligent weighing algorithms, deviations in the flow characteristics of heterogeneous mineral fertilisers are more accurately detected and the spreader is automatically re-adjusted via the electric metering slides.
Low level sensor
For monitoring both apertures, AMAZONE offers a low-level sensor system for the ZA-V. These can be positioned if desired above the aperture and can be mounted at three different heights. So, the driver sees early enough in the terminal an alarm signal that one hopper tip is almost empty.
Roll-over cover
The manual or hydraulically controlled roll-over cover ensures dry spreading material even in wet weather and enables you to continue spreading even in bad weather conditions. The roll-over cover is available for all S and L extensions. Needless to say that the roll-over cover can be also combined with the S 600 and L 800 bolt-on extensions.
Rolling and parking device for Super and Ultra frames
The swivel rolling and parking device eases both the coupling and the uncoupling of the spreader and for when manoeuvring the spreader off the tractor in the yard. The castor wheels are quickly folded up and down and are optimally protected from dirt.
As an alternative to the swivel rolling and parking device, there is also a cheaper parking stand with integrated skid available
Rolling and parking device for Special frame
An option that makes sense: the robust rolling device eases the mounting and dismounting of the spreader and is handy for manoeuvring in the yard. The castor wheels can be quickly removed.
ZA-TS Centrifugal Broadcaster

The extensions: In two widths and many sizes
For a subsequent increase in hopper capacity for the ZA-TS, AMAZONE offers for both the S and L base machines a suitable bolt-on extension. The volume of the extension is 600 l for S hoppers and 800 l for L hoppers. Needless to say, the rollover cover can be fitted on to these extensions. This enables the spreader to simply grow together with the farm or to take into account any subsequent increase in size of the husbandry tractor on the farm.

The AMAZONE ZA-TS is equipped with SafetySet as standard to provide maximum safety. Implements that are mounted to high-speed tractors need to be clearly visible in road traffic. AMAZONE has incorporated these strict safety requirements into the modern design. The peripheral guard tube fulfils the health and safety requirements. Large dimensioned marker boards to the rear and the road lighting kit ensure better visibility when in amongst road traffic.
Ladders that ensure a safe access
For optimum access to the hopper from outside, even on the narrow extensions, a ladder is available which can be fitted to the left and/or right hand side. For the wide L extensions though, ladders are provided to both sides as standard.
Soft Ballistic System pro
Mineral fertilisers require an especially gentle treatment to ensure a precise distribution and accurate transport to the crop. Fertiliser which has been already damaged in the spreader can no longer be reliably distributed.
For peace of mind, AMAZONE’s Soft Ballistic System pro is integrated as standard into the mounted ZA-TS and trailed ZG-TS spreaders. This means that the agitator, metering components and spreading discs are all optimally matched thus protecting the fertiliser and ensuring better yields.
1. Gentle guidance
The electrically driven star agitators in the hopper bottoms ensure an even fertiliser delivery onto the spreading discs. The slowly rotating, star shaped segments of the agitator evenly deliver the fertiliser to the relevant outlet opening. When the delivery system is adjusted, the agitator star rotates as well so that it is always perfectly positioned above the aperture. The agitator switches off automatically when the shutter slide is closed.
2. Gentle delivery
Due to the delivery system, adjustment to the throwing width and throwing direction can be regulated. In addition, the working width can be adjusted each side individually by changing the disc speed. The fertiliser is fed on centrally at a low peripheral speed resulting in little fertiliser damage. The concentric delivery system adjustment results always in a gentle treatment of the fertiliser.
3. Gentle acceleration
With a standard disc speed from 600 rpm up to 900 rpm, the AMAZONE‘s Soft Ballistic System pro gently accelerates the fertiliser. Even fertiliser types with minimal breaking strength maintain their spreading properties and provide a clean, even spread pattern.
4. Gentle ejection
With the AMAZONE Soft Ballistic System pro, as little energy as possible is given to the fertiliser for an Optimum trajectory and a precise spread pattern. So, the spreading vanes are optimally adjusted to a laid-back position.
Benefits of the electrically driven star agitators
– Two slow-running, fertiliser saving agitators turning at 60 rpm
– switch off automatically as soon as the shutter slide is closed, also just to the one side and independently of each other
– reverse automatically when blocked by a foreign object
The AMAZONE delivery system
The delivery system with its electrically-driven star Agitators in the hopper bottoms ensure an even fertiliser flow onto the spreading discs. The slowly rotating star shaped segments of the agitator deliver the fertiliser evenly to the relevant shutter outlet. In case of lumps in the spreading material, the agitator operates automatically in the opposite direction to clear the outlet so that an optimum fertiliser flow is maintained.
The two ultra-modern electrically controlled metering shutter slides make sure of a quick opening and closing on the headland so that the fertiliser is available at the full amount right from the start. Simultaneously the shutter slides are responsible for the metering of the fertiliser rate plus they can be operated independently from one another.
For forward speed related spread rate control, such as, for example via AMATRON 3, or via any other suitable ISOBUS terminal, the metering shutter slides are actuated by the electric setting motors to match the application rate and speed.
The big outlet opening can cope with a high fertiliser flow so that the delivery system, with easy flowing fertilisers, is able to go spreading at operational speeds of up to 30 km/h.
The brush kit ensures a clean delivery of the fertiliser on to the spreading disc without splatter and without losing any “granules”.
Quantity effect-free aperture design
Due to the specific shape of the outlet and the shutter the spread pattern is always maintained, even at varying operational speeds. The position of the delivery system is independent and does not require any readjustment.
This is the decisive difference to adjustment of the feed-on point.
Concentric delivery system adjustment
Via the delivery system the fertiliser is gently fed-on extremely close to the centre of the spreading disc. At this point close to the centre of the disc, the peripheral speed is low resulting in a particularly gentle treatment of the fertiliser. For setting the spreader unit to different working widths and fertiliser types, the delivery system is pivoted electrically (concentrically) around the centre of the discs. The distance between the feed-on point of the fertiliser and the centre of the disc always remains the same. The agitator is firmly fixed to the delivery system and thus always maintains the same position above the aperture.
The swivelling of the delivery system provides you with a wide range of possible working widths. Just three sets of spreading vanes cover working widths from 15 m to 54 m.
Mechanical delivery system adjustment
Due to the quantity effect-free aperture, the ability to mechanically adjust the delivery system for the ZA-TS often is sufficient as the delivery system only requires moving when either the working width or the fertiliser type is changed. When varying spread rates and forward speeds no adjustment is necessary.
TS spreading system – designed for efficiency and high longevity
Characteristics of the TS spreading system:
+ High throwing width, still double-overlapping even at 36 m
+ Integrated boundary spreading system
+ High application rates (up to 10.8 kg/sec or 650 kg/min)
Composition of the TS spreading system
1) electric setting motor for the fertiliser metering
2) electric agitator drive
3) electric setting motor for rotating the delivery system
4) delivery vane
5) boundary spreading vane
6) normal spreading vane
7) AutoTS actuation
8) electric setting motor for AutoTS including function check
Stainless steel for a prolonged operational life
The entire spreading system of the ZA-TS spreaders is made from stainless steel providing a prolonged operational life. The vane change system enables the quick and easy change of the spreading vane tips. The ideal solution, for example, for agricultural contractors.
The drive to the spreading discs is available from choice as either mechanical (ZA-TS Profis) or hydraulic (ZA-TS Profis Hydro). Different spreading vanes are activated for normal spreading (utilising a large throwing width) than for the boundary spreading width (reduced throwing width to one side) via the so-called AutoTS. This means a disc change is not necessary.
Hard metal coated spreading vanes
The spreading vanes are coated with a special long-lasting anti-wear protection. This is made possible by an especially hard structure to the metal. This finish is produced through a high-speed flame heating process that develops an ultra-hard coating to protect the spreading vanes against mechanical wear. Consequently, the result is a three-fold increase in lifespan.
Sets of spreading discs
TS 1 = 15 m – max. 24 m
TS 2 = 21 m – max. 36 m
TS 3 = 24 m – max. 54 m
AutoTS – for optimum spreading right up to the border
Significantly new is the disc integrated boundary spreading device enabling the electrical activation from the tractor cab whilst spreading. This makes for a perfect drop off of the fertiliser right up to the field border to ensure the precise lateral distribution.
Auto-TS an ingenious principle:
The setting motor moves the delivery vane by approximately 10° resulting in the carrying of the fertiliser for side-, border- or water course spreading into the shorter boundary spreading vane.
Border spreading with ClickTS
As an alternative to having the AutoTS system on both sides that can be controlled remotely from the tractor cab, there is now the option of AutoTS just on the one-side alongside the manually-adjusted ClickTS on the other.
Customers, who always travel around the headland spreading to the same side, now also have the possibility to order the AutoTS remotely controlled border spreading system to that side only. On the other side then the ClickTS version is automatically fitted.
So, with this version, border spreading to both sides still is possible but with one side remotely controlled and the other side manually-actuated. As a further option, the manual ClickTS system can be also ordered on both sides
Optimised spread pattern
Normal spreading
By the adjustment of the delivery system the feed-on point of the spreading material on to the spreading disc is changed and in this way the spreading width and the lateral distribution are regulated. In addition, the working width can be adjusted even more individually by a spreading disc speed change.
Three dimensional spread pattern
The spreader unit has been designed with the aid of three dimensional spread patterns to perform the perfect lateral distribution. Thanks to SBS pro, working widths of up to 54 m can be generated. The wide, overlapping spread fans provide the perfect spread pattern.
Non-sensitive spread pattern via the multi-sectional spread fan
Due to the special profile and the angle of the spreading vanes on the ZA-TS, the multi-sectional spread fan has been widened. This means that the long and short spreading vanes do not influence the spread pattern to either side and an optimum trajectory is maintained
Mechanical drive with Tronic Pack and up to 16 part-width sections
As ZA-TS and ZG-TS fertiliser spreaders feature a separate, disc integrated, border spreading system (ClickTS/AutoTS system) the spread patterns are designed to ensure very wide throwing widths when spreading normally. This offers the farmer the benefit that the spread patterns are significantly more consistent when facing external influences, such as side wind, slope inclination, humidity and changeable fertiliser quality, resulting in wide, flat, triangular spread patterns.
Especially large working widths require additional control of the spread pattern in wedge shaped fields and in short work. To respond to such situations even more sensitively, the mechanically-driven ZA-TS Tronic and ZG-TS Tronic, with the optional electric delivery system adjustment, can alter the position of the delivery system as well as being able to adapt the spread rate. In this way, even outer part-width sections can be controlled individually as well. Due to the combined work of the part-width section control via spread rate change and adjustment of the delivery system, the accuracy of fertiliser distribution in short work is significantly improved at these larger working widths.
Hydraulic drive with Hydro Pack and up to 128 part-width section control
Apart from just adapting the application rate and the delivery system, the ability to control the speed of either the left or right hand side spreading disc speed individually means that the ZA-TS Hydro and ZG-TS Hydro models, again along with the electric delivery system adjustment, offer the additional benefit of being able to reduce the throwing width from the outer edge to the middle. Particularly when working at larger widths, and in long, shallow wedge shaped fields, the Hydro version offers additional benefits in comparison to the mechanically-driven machines ensuring the perfect spreading of wedge shaped fields and when in short work.
The ZA-TS Hydro and the ZG-TS Hydro feature, in manual mode, 8 part-width sections which are controlled by simple hand pressure on a key. In automatic mode via GPS-Switch or SectionControl, the part-width section switching is actuated across up to 128 part-width sections.
Apart from the benefit of these additional part-width sections, the TS Hydro spreaders also offer the big advantage of being able to be operated independently from the engine speed of the tractor, saving fuel and providing, if necessary, additional reserve in hilly terrain.
ZA-TS and ZG-TS spreaders with Argus Twin
The Argus system represents an innovation that offers far-reaching improvements in operational comfort and in the quality of work.
The Argus system, which checks the spread fan and automatically regulates the lateral distribution, is based on radar technology that is independent of dust and pollution and thus provides reliable results in practice. Argus Twin constantly monitors, via radar sensors mounted on both the sides of the spreader, the left and right hand spread fans simultaneously and re-adjusts the electric delivery system independently of each other if necessary.
Top features of Argus Twin:
+ The system is ready for immediate operation, no calibration necessary
+ Constant on-line monitoring of both spread fans
+ Maintains an optimum lateral distribution of the fertiliser even with changeable fertiliser quality
+ Basis for optimum crop management
+ More effective use of fertiliser
+ The system is also active when border spreading or if a part-width section is switched on or off
+ Automatic slope compensation of the spread pattern by readjustment of the delivery system position
+ Rigidly attached to the spreader: no moving parts – completely maintenance-friendly and free of wear
Automatic delivery system adjustment
Via the ISOBUS terminal, the application rate and any further relevant data for the fertiliser to be spread are entered from the setting chart. For the Argus system, the spreading chart has been updated to include the throwing angle that gives the optimum lateral distribution. Utilising this value, Argus Twin constantly checks whether the predetermined direction of throw for that fertiliser is in fact being maintained by the spreading discs. When the actual throwing width deviates from the “desired” throwing width due to inconsistencies within the fertiliser, worn spreading vanes, working across slopes or during starting and stopping procedures, the spreader readjusts, on its own, the setting for the delivery system – and that of each side individually. The only pre-condition for its use is the electric delivery system adjustment. Argus Twin can be operated both with a mechanically-driven ZA-TS Tronic or ZG-TS Tronic as well as with a ZA-TS Hydro or ZG-TS Hydro with hydraulic spreading disc drive.
Constant on-line monitoring
Both on the ZA-TS mounted spreader and ZG-TS trailed spreaders, Argus Twin ensures always, via continuous on-line monitoring and the readjustment of the delivery system, the optimum lateral Distribution for that fertiliser. This leads to a more effective fertiliser use and forms the basis for optimum crop management.
The system is immediately live and operates even when border spreading and if part-width sections are switched off and on. In hilly terrain, Argus even provides slope compensation of the spread pattern via the automatic readjustment of the delivery position of the fertiliser.
Due to the rigid fixing, the system avoids any moving components and is thus extremely robust and is completely maintenance-free.
Whilst Argus optimises the lateral distribution, the optional weighing system on the ZA-TS and ZG-TS ensures that the correct spread rate is being maintained. Thanks to the optionally-available tilt sensor for the weighing system on the ZA-TS, the application rate can be monitored continuously and maintained with the same precision even on sloping terrain.
Optimum plant growth thanks to the correct nitrogen supply
Actually on-line sensors are the ideal tool for supplying the appropriate amount of Nitrogen. During fertiliser application, they measure the supply available at the plant. Within the restraints of the pre-determined values, the required amount of fertiliser for an optimum plant growth is then calculated.
Via the serial interface (RS 232) all ZA-TS spreaders with AMATRON 3, CCI 100 and other compatible ISOBUS terminals offer an optimum access to all on-line sensors available in the market (e.g. YARA N-Sensor, FRITZMEIER ISARIA, CLAAS CropSensor, CropCircle, OptRx, GreenSeeker). Via the AMAZONE on-board computer, the calculated amount of fertiliser is directly entered in to control the machine. For documentation purposes, the actual applied amount of fertiliser applied is recorded.
Options
AmaPilot multi function joystick
All the functions of the work menu can also be operated via the AmaPilot multi function joystick or other ISOBUS joysticks (AUX-N). The keys can be simply and freely programmed with the most important functions.
Border spread deflector
For cases where there is a need to spread directly from the edge of the field inwards towards the middle of the field, there is a border spread deflector available for the ZA-TS. When the border spread deflector is swivelled down, spreading is carried out only from the field side spreading disc. The fertiliser from this spreading disc is deflected in such a way that it is only thrown directly behind the tractor into the field, but, however, not out across the border. The border spread deflector can be utilised on both the left and right hand side. The actuation of the border spread deflector is carried out manually or, as option, hydraulically from the tractor seat. If the border spread deflector is left swivelled upwards then the spreader can be utilised for normal arable farming situations without limitation
Bed spreading deflector
Within the sector of specialist crops, often beds are created with wheel tracks in between. For spreading beds to the left and right hand side of the tractor, the bed spreading deflector provides the optimum fertiliser distribution just across the beds. When the bed spreading deflector is swivelled downwards, however, then behind the tractor where there are no plants, no fertiliser is spread.
For optimising the fertiliser distribution, the telescopic end pieces on the bed spreading deflector can be adjusted to suit, depending on working width and fertiliser type. The bed spreading deflector can be utilised to either one, or both sides and actuation of the bed spreading deflector is carried out, similar to when border spreading, either manually or, as an option, hydraulically from the tractor seat. If the bed spreading deflector is swivelled upwards then again the spreader can be utilised as usual for arable farming.
Bed spreading with bed spreading deflector to both sides
For spreading specialist crops in beds to either side of the tractor AMAZONE offers the bed spreading deflector. It keeps the track virtually free from fertiliser.
Who weighs wins
No calibration: enter the spread rate and drive off! There is nothing simpler
The weighing system provides controlled convenience and more safety enabling an on-line determination of the different spreading material properties with two 200 Hz weigh cells – with high measuring accuracy. It automatically compares the actually applied rate with the pre-determined rate. Deviations in the flow characteristics, for example when spreading heterogeneous mineral fertilisers, are detected and the spreader is re-adjusted automatically via the electric metering shutter slides. In addition, for field-related nutrient application, for example, the applied rate is precisely documented. For a well-balanced nutrient supply, the application rate can be changed via the ISOBUS terminal at the touch of a button.

The tilt sensor for heavily undulating
The combination of tilt sensor and weighing algorithms increases the precision and efficiency of the ZA-TS Profis weigh-cell spreader.
With the Profis, possible changes in the centre of gravity are taken into account during the measuring procedure whilst on the move via the tilt sensing technology: the two-dimensional tilt sensor which records the angle, both to the front and the rear and to the left and right hand side, corrects the measuring inaccuracies which might arise when driving up and down hill or that might occur when driving on sliping ground.
In this way, in combination with the intelligent weighing algorithms, deviations in the flow characteristics when working with blended mineral fertilisers are even better detected and the spreader is automatically re-adjusted via the electric metering shutter slides.
Low-level sensor
For monitoring both apertures AMAZONE offers low-level sensors for the ZA-TS. When fitted, these are positioned above the aperture and can be mounted at three different heights. So, the driver is alerted early enough, via the terminal, by an alarm signal to show that one hopper tip is almost empty.
Roll-over hopper cover
The manually or hydraulically actuated roll-over hopper cover ensures that the spreading material is kept dry even in wet weather and allows you to continue spreading even in bad weather. The roll-over hopper cover is available for all S and L extensions.
Large, wide hopper extensions
Direct filling from a tipping trailer or from big bags is no problem. Especially when using big loader buckets, the wide L-extension is of great advantage.
Additional hopper extensions
For a subsequent increase in hopper capacity for the ZA-V and ZA-TS, AMAZONE offers for both the S and L base machines a suitable bolt-on extension. The volume of the extension is 600 l for S hoppers and 800 l for L hoppers. Needless to say, the roll-over cover can be fitted on to these extensions. This enables the spreader to simply grow together with the farm or to take into account any subsequent increase in size of the husbandry tractor on the farm.
Rolling and parking device
The swivel rolling and parking device eases both the coupling and the uncoupling of the spreader and when manoeuvring in the yard. The castor wheels are quickly folded in and out and optimally protected from dirt. They are permanently mounted on the spreader – so no need to search for them between one driver and another.
As an alternative to the swivel rolling and parking device, a cheaper parking set with integrated stands is also available.
Parking stands
As an alternative to the swivel rolling and parking device, a cheaper parking set with integrated stands is also available.
Camera system for ZG-TS and ZA-TS
The optionally available camera system mainly serves as a means of ensuring safety when manoeuvring. This is possible at any time due to ist night vision compatibility and heated lens. The high resolution and anti-reflective monitor is backlit and can also display two cameras simultaneously.

AMAZONE Limiter boundary spreading system – keeping it green
Side and boundary spreading are among the most important aspects of fertiliser spreading.
The AMAZONE Limiter enables precise application of fertiliser right up to the edge of the field. It ensures optimal distribution and excludes over-spreading in areas that are not used for agricultural purposes. This is not only particularly economical, but also provides active environmental protection!
Limiter made of high-grade stainless steel
The AMAZONE Limiter is a considerable aid to accurate work. The hydraulic Limiter is conveniently controlled via the AMATRON 3 on-board computer directly from the driver’s seat. The benefit: No stopping, no interruption of work, no need to climb down from the tractor.
The Limiter can be moved on a fixed frame within a generously dimensioned swivel range. This enables easy adjustment according to the function required (working width, side or boundary spreading, type of fertilser).
Important: The Limiter fulfils all the requirements of the current fertiliser decree. Can be installed in all ZG-B fertiliser spreaders.

In order to prevent over Fertilisation inside the field, the spread rate must be reduced at the boundary side.
GPS-Switch for AMATRON 3
This GPS assisted on-board computer system automatically calculates the accurate position for switching on and off the machine on the headland, at the field’s edge and in wedge shaped short work.
GPS-Switch automated part-width section control gives you comfort and peace of mind. Just select the desired degree of overlap and set the switching on and off to automatic. Furthermore you save on fertiliser as well as the environment plus the driver can fully concentrate on its monitoring.
For the ZA-TS, SwitchPoint has been integrated into the spreader software which bears in mind the extent to which the spread fan falls behind the machine. When utilising GPS-Switch, SwitchPoint means the automatic adjustment of the switching on and off points depending on fertiliser type and working width. both values can be taken from the spreading chart and entered into the relevant operator terminal.
GPS-Track for AMATRON 3
The GPS track parallel guidance system proves to be a huge help for orientation within the field. It features different track modes, such as A-B line, contour following and an obstacle function. The tracks are clearly numbered all the way through. The deviation from the ideal line is graphically shown in the display; clear steering recommendations keep you in the track. Also the distance to the next bout is accurately displayed – for an ideal orientation. Of course, GPS-Track also works as a “stand-alone“ system, even without an implement attached..
GPS-Maps for AMATRON 3
In addition to the ISO-XML-data management, the job management of the terminal (TaskController) is also able to process application maps (Shape-Format), meaning, depending on the objective and the terminal, several possibilities for a part-area site specific application – according to a map or to a sensor. Which system is most suitable and will best serve the individual demands and requirements is just up to you as the user.

Reliable and accurate application of the desired spread rate
The weighing system which can be used for determining the hopper Contents (fill level check) and for monitoring the application rate via the offline weighing procedure, provides the utmost comfort and convenience.
For ZG-TS spreaders, a calibration device for carrying out a spread rate check is optionally available. The calibration device is equipped with a sensor for monitoring the time. The measured values can be processed in the ISOBUS terminal.
The brush kit ensures a clean delivery of the fertiliser on to the spreading disc without splatter and without losing any “granules“.
AutoTS – for optimum spreading right up to the boirder
As a further option, the manual ClickTS system can be also ordered on both side
Increased yield on the border thanks to AutoTS and ClickTS
The AutoTS border spreading system and ClickTS generates a steep border spread pattern and thus the ability to provide the optimum growth conditions close to the field’s border. Compared to other border spreading systems, a significantly increased yield is possible.
The AutoTS spreading system makes use of an automated rate reduction when boundary spreading with the spread rate setting in freely-selectable percentage steps. As the two spreading discs can be operated independently from one another, the change to one or both sides can be adjusted.
Thanks to the optionally-available tilt sensor for the weighing system on the ZA-TS, the application rate can be monitored continuously and maintained with the same precision even on sloping terrain

Bed spreading with bed spreading deflector to both sides
For spreading specialist crops in beds to either side of the tractor AMAZONE offers the bed spreading deflector. It keeps the track virtually free from fertiliser.
