Abbey Flail Side Dung Spreader

Abbey Machinery manufacture the most complete range of Side Spreaders on the market today. Sizes ranging from 6 to 15.5 cubic yards (4.58 -11.46 m3). Side Dung Spreaders are one of the leading Side Spreaders available on the market with the ability to handle a wide range of manure from solid to slurry.

The Flail Side Dung Spreader range is built with increased chassis support to provide maximum support, strength and durability to the drum.  The drive line of the Abbey Machinery Side Spreader is unequaled by any other in today’s market.  The use of a splined shaft on the seamless rotor for chain driving, gives maximum strength.  The spreading chassis is anchored to the rotor tube in spiral formation ensuring optimum spreading pattern is achieved.  Heavy duty bearings are fitted on each end of the rotor away from the manure to extend the life of the bearings.

LOW HORSEPOWER REQUIREMENT

Thanks to the specially designed Start-up flails and longer barrel, Dung Spreaders requires lower power to run, even in the toughest conditions.

HYDRAULICALY OPERATE REINFORECED DOOR

The unique strong construction of the loading door allows opening and closing of the door from the tractor seat to give easy loading access and ideal spread pattern. The door is strengthened with baffles providing quality construction and maximum support to the machine.

DUNG SPREADERS CHASSIS DESIGN

The new and improved chassis design gives optimum strength to the drum, reducing vibration and resulting in the strongest side spreader on the market.

HEAVY DUTY SEAMLESS ROTOR

The rotor is extremely robust to ensure long life with low maintenance. Rotors on all models are made from seamless tubing ensuring long life and free from vibration. The rotor is constructed from heavy duty 12mm x 115mm round tubing on all models up to the 2090. The complete drive line of the bigger models offers maximum strength and durability to power the 15mm x 165mm rotor tubing. Large diameter 70mm rotor bearings on bigger models provides the robustness and reliability to handle the heaviest jobs with ease.

CHAIN SYSTEM

The chain system is extremely robust to ensure long life with low maintenance. Chains are fitted with heavy duty replaceable heads and plates and range from sizes of 28” x 3/8” up to 38” x ½ inch. The chains are specifically placed along the heavy duty rotor for accuracy of spread pattern and ease of start-up when full. On the 2070, 2090, 2100, 2250 and 2550 models they are placed in a spiral dimension giving perfect results.
